IA project with international analyst Nielsen IO

The UAH has collaborated with the international market analyst NielsenIQ through an Artificial Intelligence project, devising a system capable of solving questions through photographs. NielsenIQ is a leading American company in its sector that works with auditors dedicated to market research in large supermarkets. Thus, the RobeSafe research group, which is part of the UAH Department of Electronics, and led by Professor Luis M. Bergasa together with student Miguel E. Ortiz, has collaborated with this company throughout 2020 by developing a new VQA (Visual Question Answering) system that automatically answers, based on the images taken by the auditors, questions such as "what brands of fried tomato are on this shelf?".
