SOLUTIONS FOR DIGITISATION, July 6th

The UC3M Robotics Lab group, through this Community of Madrid RoboCity2030 consortium (UC3M, UPM, CSIC, UAH, URJC, UNED), is part of the European Digital Innovation Hub EDIH Madrid Region, launched this year. The objective of this European hub, co-funded by the EU and the Community of Madrid (coordinator) is to promote digitalisation (including automation, robotics, AI, etc.) in SMEs (mainly) and public administrations.

Within this context, and to publicise the free services offered to these entities, we have launched, with the rest of the EDIH partners, the event in webinar format:

As members of the EDIH Madrid Region we have received a request from the coordinators to disseminate the opportunity for Spanish companies to participate in MWC23 Shanghai.

The selected companies will have an exhibition space in a global event where, in addition, they will be able to participate in different sessions and conferences to expand their business opportunities. The mission is free of charge for the participating companies and, in addition, they may receive a grant of up to €1,000 for travel and accommodation expenses (50% co-financing).

Como miembros del EDIH Madrid Region hemos recibido la solicitud por parte de los coordinadores de dar difusión a la oportunidad de participar a empresas españolas en la MWC23 Shanghái.

Las empresas seleccionadas dispondrán de un espacio expositivo en un evento global donde, además, podrán participar en diferentes sesiones y conferencias para ampliar sus oportunidades de negocio. La misión no tiene ningún coste para las compañías participantes y, además, podrán recibir una ayuda de hasta 1.000 € para gastos de desplazamiento y alojamiento (en cofinanciación al 50%).

RoboCity2030 participates as a strategic partner in the Digital Transformation Day for SMEs to be held on March 30th at IFEMA. The event is organised by Global Robot Expo and promoted by the Community of Madrid.

On 22 March, the conference La robótica inteligente en los retos de salud y asistenciales (Intelligent robotics in the challenges of health and care) will take place. The opening will be carried out by Ana Isabel Cremades Rodríguez, General Director of Research and Technological Innovation of the Community of Madrid and Paloma Díaz, Director of the Polytechnic School, UC3M. The general meeting of the IROPER project, whose coordinator is Carlos Balaguer, was held on 23 February at UC3M. The project is funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (Proyectos de I+D+i en líneas estratégicas, PLEC2021-007819). At the meeting, the progress of the project and of each of its work packages was analysed.

El pasado 23 de febrero se celebró la reunión general del proyecto IROPER, cuyo coordinador es Carlos Balaguer, en la UC3M. El mismo está financiado por el Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación (Proyectos de I+D+i en líneas estratégicas, PLEC2021-007819). En la reunión se analizaron los avances del proyecto y de cada uno de sus paquetes de trabajo.

On 13 February, on the occasion of the RoboCity2030-DIH-CM management committee meeting, a tribute was paid to professors Rafael Aracil (UPM) and Manuel Armada (CSIC). In this tribute, a plaque was presented as a sign of admiration for their professional career and gratitude for their involvement in the programme since its inception. The plaque was collected by Rafael Aracil and Pablo Gonzalez (on behalf of Manuel Armada, who was unable to attend the event).
