Paolo Pierro (UC3M) presented his PhD Thesis

Our colleague Paolo Pierro (UC3M) presented in June, 20, 2012 his PhD Thesis. Its title is Stabilizer Architecture for Humanoid Robots Collaborating With Humans. The directors of the thesis were Carlos Balaguer y Concepción Monje. The examing board was formed by Dolores Blanco, Eiichi Yoshida, Philippe Sou√®res, Giulio Sandini and MiguelÁngel Salichs. He received the highest rating possible.

Nuestra compañera Ana Corrales Paredes (UC3M) presentó el día 11 de junio su Tesis Doctoral. El título del trabajo es Sistema de Navegación para Robots Sociales Basado en Señales y el director es MiguelÁngel Salichs. El tribunal de tesis estaba formado por Carlos Balaguer, María Malfaz, Antonio Barrientos, Maritza Bracho and Carlos Cerrada. Obtuvo la calificación máxima de Sobresaliente cum laude por unanimidad.

Our colleague Ana Corrales Paredes (UC3M) presented in June, 11, 2012 her PhD Thesis. Its title is Navigation System Based on Signals for Social Robots. The director of the thesis was MiguelÁngel Salichs. The examing board was formed by Carlos Balaguer, María Malfaz, Antonio Barrientos, Maritza Bracho and Carlos Cerrada. She got the maximum mark of Sobresaliente Cum Laude.

El día 18 de mayo de 2012Álvaro Villoslada Peciña y Alejandro Escalante Herrán fueron premiados con el IV Premio Treelogic al Espíritu Innovador. Ambos estudiantes del RoboticsLab de la UC3M presentaron el proyecto “Diseño de una prótesis robótica de miembro superior de bajo coste”, desarrollado bajo la dirección del profesor Mohamed Abderrahim.

On May 18th of 2012,Álvaro Villoslada Peciña y Alejandro Escalante Herrán, were awarded with the first prize of VI Treelogic Awards to Innovative Spirit. These two students from RoboticsLab presented the project ” Design of a low cost upper limb robotic prothesis”, developed under the supervision of Professor Mohamed Abderrahim.
