RoboCity2030 collaboration with Lithuanian DIH Agrifood

Thanks to previous contacts and as an activity coordinated by the DIH Madrid Robotics Digital Innovation Hub (RoboCity2030) in which UC3M and CAR (UPM-CSIC) have participated, a group of researchers from the CSIC group have gone to Lithuania to collaborate with the Lithuanian DIH Agrifood.

The Artificial Perception Group (GPA)  from the Centre for Automation and Robotics (CAR) of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), has attended the first "StartUp Village Networking EVENT - innovative and resilient regional development" organized by Robotics4EUand the DIH by AgriFood Lithuania at the Vilnius City Hall (Lithuania) on February 7th organized.

Robotics4EU is a three-year project funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program, which aims to ensure a wider adoption of (AI-based) robots in healthcare, infrastructure inspection and maintenance, the agri-food industry, and agile manufacturing.

This co-creation workshop focused on the agri-food sector has analyzed and examined the solutions proposed by companies and institutions from a societal perspective. The workshop aimed to obtain feedback that was not only focused on the technological part of the solutions in order to highlight and test important aspects of the robotic applications presented.

At the event, supported by the DIH Robocity2030, two of the solutions being developed in the Horizon 2020 project, FLEXIGROBOTS, were presented.. An automated commercial vehicle for crop inspection and a harvesting assistance robot.
